Orca The Jaiket Haudin Whale.

This wee Killer Whale managed to escape the rabid blood thirst of the Norwegian whaler and is now lounging in Tresta Bay off the coast of Fetlar.

Good for you, Orca. The Great Escape plan is working.

Whaling under fire as Norway catches only 50% of its quota From The Guardian.

Amazing what you can see during your lunch break when working at Fetlar Primary. We all scoffed lunch to go see this juvenile splash about, we were freezing but it was great!

I spent last week in Ardnamurchan, the guy who I got the cottage off said that minke whales were frolicking in the bay the previous week. I had my telescope out but saw virtually no wildlife whilst I was there, but that was more than made up for by the sky at night. I almost got in the red phone box to contact Burt Lancaster at Knox Oil and Gas. What’s the sky like above Shetland?
